The purpose of this NPA course is to allow pupils to strive to achieve excellence in their chosen sport. This award is aimed at pupils who are ‘high performers’ in their chosen sport, who are interested in taking their achievements into the workplace. It allows candidates to focus on their own performance to learn about the process of setting targets, planning their own work and to evaluate what actually is ‘excellence’ in sport.
There are three units in this award and can be taught individually or integrated, they are:
- Individual Performance in Sport: codes of conduct
- Individual Performance in Sport
- Individual Performance in Sport: analysis and evaluation
